Review: T3 Acne Facial Foam and T3 Pimple Gel Plus

November 19, 2010 3:07 pm · Posted by Ange Demon013

Once my uncle got me a T3 pimple gel (with tea tree oil, in a yellow and green packaging) when I was still at high school. I remembered that it didn't peel my skin like other pimple gels I used at the time. It was quite rare to find stuff said to be PH at that time, which is why this brand name kinda stuck in my head for all these years. As far as I know, this brand isn't sold in Australia.

I think they are getting scarce in Singapore but they might still be sold in Malaysia...Anyway I requested these a while back in a beauty swap. Let's start with review.

Comments (T3 Acne Facial Foam): I dislike this product from the first 2 washes. It's quite difficult to get the product out of the tube. It was like I was dealing with some dried art craft glue paste and it smells horribly of lemon dishwashing liquid like Morning Fresh. In addition it has loads of chemicals despite claiming to be PH friendly. Unfortunately I threw it away. All I can say was it contains triclosan, parabens, phenoxyethanol, Imidazolidinyl urea (chemical compound found in urine - usually from animal urine). Do your skin a favor and don't buy this!

All I have when it comes to its ingredients is this blurry image (sorry guys):

Ratings: 0/5

Ingredients (Pimple Gel Plus): Triclosan, Salicylic Acid, Methyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben, Purified Water, Isopropyl Alcohol, Propylene Glycol, Hydropropyl Methyl Cellulose, D-Panthenol, DL-Tocopheryl Acetate, Disodium Edetate, PEG-40 Castor Oil, Allium Cepa Bulb Extract, Allantoin, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice

Claims: T3 Pimple Gel Plus is a non-greasy, non-staining gel specially formulated for the treatment of fungal and bacterial pimples. It contains Salicylic Acid to deeply penetrate pores to fight acne-causing bacteria, Triclosan, an active broad-spectrum antibacterial agent, and Allium Cepa Bulb Extract to help minimize scarring caused by pimples. Its pH 5.5 is friendly to skin.

Comments: I didn't like it at all, mainly because salicylic acid peels my skin and ends up in making my cystic pimple bleed, the more often I use it. I did experience tingles but this product can't be applied more than 3 times during the day. I wouldn't use in 2 consecutive days. And despite its PH label, it's loaded with chemicals and parabens.  I won't even recommend this product to my friends.

really? I wonder if there's a Guardian in Hong Kong..I'm going there next month. We do have a Guardian Pharmacy in Perth but it doesn't sell Asian stuff 0.0
If I do find the tea tree oil one (yellow and green packaging), I might want to give T3 another go.
Thanks for letting me know
